Membership

Membership in NERA allows you to continue your Phi Theta Kappa experience even beyond your chapter membership. Proceeds from membership help to fund NERA programming, scholarships for members, and other initiatives that carry out our goal of supporting the New England Region, including its members and alumni.

Benefits of NERA membership cover all four Phi Theta Kappa Hallmarks:

Scholarship: Promote the educational advancement of current members
through financial assistance and sharing your areas of expertise as a speaker
at regional and chapter events

Leadership: Grow your personal leadership skills by serving as a NERA officer
and being a recognized alumni leader in Phi Theta Kappa as a member of one
of its official alumni associations

Service: Help the regional coordinator, officers, and advisory board carry out
their plans and goals each year by serving them in a supporting role

Fellowship: Enjoy the close bonds NERA members form at regional events,
NERA picnics, and more events being planned for the future

To become a member, you need to submit a membership application and your membership dues. Membership costs $25 annually or $250 for lifetime membership. Annual membership proceeds help cover NERA’s operating expenses, while the one-time lifetime membership fees are reserved whenever possible for scholarship assistance. We hope you will join us soon!
